NEWS

1/25/10 - Hey everyone. We wanted to write and answer some questions we received about the release of the new album, as well as update everyone again on what we've been up to.

If you look back on our previous blogs, you'll see that we had originally intended to have the album done and released in October... I realize that, in a Nintendo-like fashion, every time we update you, we have set our release date back a month. But trust us. Like Twilight Princess, the extra time and set backs WILL be worth it. Additional recording and mixing may have set the date back a few months, but everyone involved has a LOT of emotional attachment to the music, and we want this second record to be the best that it can.

I'm extremely excited to announce that we will have a very special guest playing keyboards on this album... Tom Brislin, the amazingly talented keyboardist and singer of the band Spiraling. Tom will be heading to Big Blue Meenie Studios at the end of this month to lay down the keys for the album under the guidance and ever watchful eye of Tim Gilles. Just to do some name-dropping, Tom has toured with Yes, Camel, Ok Go and The Syn, just to name a few, and is a keyboard prodigy... this man is an incredible talent!

After the keyboards are done, mixing and mastering should go fairly quickly... I don't want to make any more Nintendo-like promises, but it's looking look like March will be our month.

If you're in the Jersey area, we'll be playing our first full band show since our break for recording, and we'd love to have as many of our friends and fans come out as possible. I even drew a bit of a wacky flyer.

This year will see The Tea Club in high performance mode! We've spent the past 3 months perfecting a new live show consisting of material from both records as well as some new visual ideas to complete the true Tea Club live experience!! We'll be debuting this new show February 5th but keep on the look out as we plan to play all over the place! We'll be filming as many of our upcoming shows as possible and posting them on that old Youtube. I know...the excitement's palpable. So WATCH OUT!!

And also if you're in the area, make sure to tune in to WDBK 91.5 FM Camden County... Jamie Myerson, the station manager, has been playing music from bands in the area, including The Tea Club!

We will keep you in the loop.

11/01/09 - Tracking for the new album is officially finished! Mixing will now be in the first few weeks of November, during which we'll be working on an elaborate booklet to go along with the CD featuring brand new artwork. We're pushing to have the entire thing pressed and released by January 2010! :D

10/6/09After taking a break from performing to extensively celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival, we will be playing the 3rd annual Chuktoberfest on October 23rd. We will, of course, perform wearing costumes. What costumes, you ask? You'll just have to come and see. Oh, and don't even think about attending unless you're gonna wear a costume. At least something. Even just a pair of silly glasses qualifies as a costume.

We will go back to Big Blue Meenie Studios on the 15th, 16th, 21st, and 22nd of October to finish up recording our newest album. Only extra vocals and instruments are needed. Should be finished soon. :D

Also, here are a couple brand new beautiful reviews of "General Winter's Secret Museum"!
